Joshua Tree NP

Had a great time in Joshua Tree National Park. Camped at Jumbo Rocks for a few nights which is an amazing spot. Spent a few good hours on the clearest night playing with a new astro lens for my camera (12mm f2 rokkinon on a fuji xpro2). That field of view is just so much fun.
During the day though the 16mm f1.4 was back on. It's just a fantastic lens and the near macro focus is great for close up shots of the flora and fungi.
The old vanagon lost a lot of power on the way back but didn't let us down, just made for a slooooow trip home. Around LA I figured out it was most likely the N75 boost solenoid valve. Auto parts stores don't stock it so I couldn't get it fixed until we got back to the Bay.
The last night of the trip was spent at the campground at Pismo Beach. It was dark by the time we arrived and I didn't even realize we could camp on the beach until the next morning. Can't wait to go back down there, it's such a nice spot.
Joshua Tree is right up there with Moab as one of the most awesome road trips I've taken in the van. Looking forward to the next one.
