Cotogna Staging Table

Recently completed this staging table for Cotogna. This table is stationed in the pass, between the pizza oven and the bar. Good place to be.
We went through a few revisions of this table before landing on the final design. The first version didn't have casters, and there was some debate about the overall length. They decided on the long version that's about the same length as the counter return. I had underestimated the flex in the wood at the 64" length and at the last minute added 1" angle iron braces beneath the shelves to eliminate any bowing that was going to happen in the future. This was after running the numbers through a computer simulation...
The shelves are quarter sawn white oak plwood 3/4", cut on the CNC router. I had a lot of technical issues with the router that day. It just kept crashing and throwing errors, over and over and over again.
The shelves are edged with 5/16" solid white oak and the vertical supports are 2.5" solid white oak. This construction is pretty simple as far as it goes, but it's one of the larger projects I've done that involved chopping mortises. That was a lot of fun on the living room floor. I have the best neighbors downstairs.
