Verjus is a new French inspired wine bar and retail space by Chef Mike Tusk and Lindsay Tusk at 528 Washington St., right beneath the iconic Transamerica Building.
There's not much to this countertop as it was only temporary in order to pass inspection, but it was challenging enough because of the overall length and because the stainless cabinets weren't actually square. Brandt at Hume Studio helped with the build, and because he has all the good Festool stuff, it was an easy project to knock out in an afternoon.
3/4" walnut plywood, domino'd together in the middle, 5/16" thick walnut trim to hide the sub top, and with an oil/beeswax finish. Cut and built on site.
